Custom orders don't upset us!!

 This week I have had so much fun creating new designs for several of my most loyal customers...... 

Once I started the design ideas kept rolling and I ended up selling most of what I created.

 I sold this necklace earlier this week and was asked to make a pair of earrings to coordinate. This particular customer loves coordinating jewelry. I should note she trusted me and ordered custom jewelry for several outfits for her special class Reunion last year. 

She has purchased several of my wrap bracelet/ necklaces before on special request and I whipped this one up to match the earrings, just in case she might want that to complete the set. She loved it.





Then she asked me if I could design a bracelet similar to the one I had on last summer when she and I had a lunch date on her visit to Vacaville. I couldn't remember what I had on so we talked about Gaea Beads and leather with a bit of chain. I started designing and ended up with 5 new bracelets to show her. Now she had to choose......

 Love the colors in this one. I knew from her many purchases she loves aqua and earth tones.

This one has a reversible focal bead. I knew she would love this one,  I do too. 

I love the contrast of the shapes in the beads. 

This was the other one I thought she might love. She had mentioned dots on the beads.

You have an innate sense to know automatically what I want, with very little description from me. Hearts are sprouting up on my bead table

 With Valentines coming before we know it and so little time at my design table lately when I woke up in the middle of the night a couple night ago and this is what I was inspired to start designing.........

Love this teal one. It sold immediatly upon listing. 

 This green butterfly is hand tied with Irish waxed linen and would be cute with one of my wrap bracelets. Pretty colors for spring.

This purple heart is a ceramic heart in a pretty lavender color.

This green bracelet features the heart as a large charm. It can be worn with the sari silk ribbon or without your choice.

Several of these necklaces sold almost as quickly as I listed them so if you one you are interested in one be sure to get your name on it. I would love to make up some coordinating earrings or a wrap bracelet/ necklace to match upon request.

I have lots of art beads to design with and plans to start loading my shop with spring designs.

These new designs and more will be available at our December shows coming up beginning this Monday Dec 2nd............. 

Thanksgiving is over and we had a wonderful day. Our Son Tim and Daughter in law Bree entertained us this year with a delicious meal and allowed us more time to work on the new designs for our next four shows. The best of both worlds, time with family and more designs.

We are working to coordinate our lines and Michael has a gorgeous assortment of handcrafted earrings and necklaces to show. As we go into the new year we will continue working on our website, a huge undertaking and you will see more and more boho chic designs from our studio.

A busy week and lots of news

Happy October and Custom Designs

Pumpkin spiced Chai, Pumpkin pie and Custom orders filled my day. 

This week I completed several custom orders and thought I would share this one with you.

I was super busy preparing for shows with design time in August and September included designing a new line of wrap necklace/bracelets to coordinate with my patina metals, embossed  copper necklaces, art bead necklace, and Mike's line of bronze clay necklaces and earrings and copper bangles.

We are designing our lines for our shows, new website and retail shops. We are excited about all the possibilities and the ideas just keep rolling.

This was a custom request for a festive color combo set with lavenders, pinks and yellows. This is the design that came from that color inspiration. In designing this the past two days I came up with the idea to offer my line with sets like this. This set can be worn as a long and short necklace, long necklace and patina wing necklace together and wrap the short necklace 3 times for a wrap. I designed a fun pair of earrings to coordinate. It gives you lots of options and I think we always enjoy that.

In the coming weeks I will be introducing more of these types of sets and necklaces wraps in my shop.

I love this time of year. I always enjoy the changes in the crisp air. Love the colors of autumn and find myself dreaming that we had the beautiful colors here in CA. If we time it each year we try to head to the Napa Valley and catch the vineyards in color. It is magnificent. 

This week we finished our 2 day shows cycle with 5 months of shows under our belt. Pumpkin lattes, pumpkin spiced chai, pumpkin pancakes, and pumpkin pie to begin with always gets us in the mood.

More Beady Goodness Fall Collection

This week I have been busy dreaming of fall and listening to beautiful music!!

I moved tons of beads and findings to my living room as my studio was feeling a wee bit crowded for this project. Our whole house has become a working studio. My inspiration comes from our favorite season, autumn adding lots of colors textures and beady goodness to my Boho Chic fall collection. This is a new look for my line with a layered look. These pieces will coordinate with my art bead pieces and Michael's Bronze Clay pieces from his fall collection. 

You can see these in person at the Lafayette Art and Wine festival next weekend September 20-21 in Lafayette CA and then again in Pleasant Hill Oct 5-6 Pleasant Hill Art Jazz and Wine.

2013 has been a busy year for us as we are evolving in our jewelry business. We made the decision to build a website with both of our lines together. We are a husband/wife jewelry artist design team. We each have our own collections, styles and my Etsy shop at En La Lumie're. This year we wanted to provide a central place to share our bio's, collections, and schedules of  upcoming shows including other news.

We're in the middle of show season

Mike and I have been super busy designing new fall collections. We are designing parts of our lines to coordinate with each other. For several years we have shown at the same art and wine shows. The natural progression of mingling our lines seems logical.

Mike has been building hand-forged, wire wrapped gemstone earrings, bronze and rose bronze clay earrings and filigree wire wrapped earrings.  This week he will be making more bronze clay necklaces.

I am in the middle of a new fall collection of beaded bracelet/necklace designs. You can wear these pieces in a layered look with Mike's necklaces, my art bead necklaces or my embossed and patina metal necklaces. You can wear several beaded necklaces together or wrap them on your wrist with my art bead bracelets. It is a great bohemian look and I love the textures and colors together. So many choices and the possibilities seem to grow as we build our collections.
