Sadly our next scheduled show in this coming weekend in Napa was canceled due to severe earthquake damage on the 24th of August. The town is in repair and getting business back for their merchants. We have been through a large earthquake in Santa Cruz in 89' and we wish everyone affected speedy recovery. We look forward to spending time in one of our favorite areas of CA in the near future.

Mike and I are busy in the studio the next couple weeks completing our fall collections. We are excited as we prepare for our trunk show at In the Mix Boutique 11 Friday Night from 4-8 on Sept. 12th, Town Square in  Downtown Vacaville, . We hope to meet many of our faithful customers that have supported us at this fantastic ladies boutique. Raffle drawings with purchase, yummy treats and lots of new designs to share.

We are so lucky to design for "In the Mix". Check out their gorgeous styles and colors in the new fall fashion collections.  They are arriving over the next few weeks so be sure not to miss that. Darci brings in amazing designs and she and her staff love helping you put it all together. It just gets better every season!!

New wrapped necklace/bracelets, hand tied  coordinating bracelet. Handcrafted wire wrapped cobalt glass hoops. Soon In the Mix will carry these earrings in several sizes and spring colors.

 Beautiful red and purple for Valentines. Wear these 3 x wrap bracelets, or one or two as short necklaces for a stacked look or layer with other necklaces.  One other option is to connect the two necklaces with the easy snap clasp for one long necklace. This would be pretty year round with a white top, casual or romantic.

New in the Designs in the Light Studio this week.......

Mike and I have been busy designing. He has some new wire wrapped hoop earrings in lots of spring colors. His earrings are so comfortable, I love them.

 I am designing a few new art bead necklaces with coordinating wrap necklace bracelets. Love this look.

We are working behind the scenes on preparing to bring our two Etsy shops together. We will have a new name and we are working on the logo for "Designs in the Light". Along with the changes all new branding and website. We are excited to bring a boho chic collection to you with lots of coordinating jewelry designs all handcrafted by us in our home studio. Custom orders don't upset us!!

 This week I have had so much fun creating new designs for several of my most loyal customers...... 

Once I started the design ideas kept rolling and I ended up selling most of what I created.

 I sold this necklace earlier this week and was asked to make a pair of earrings to coordinate. This particular customer loves coordinating jewelry. I should note she trusted me and ordered custom jewelry for several outfits for her special class Reunion last year. 

She has purchased several of my wrap bracelet/ necklaces before on special request and I whipped this one up to match the earrings, just in case she might want that to complete the set. She loved it.





Then she asked me if I could design a bracelet similar to the one I had on last summer when she and I had a lunch date on her visit to Vacaville. I couldn't remember what I had on so we talked about Gaea Beads and leather with a bit of chain. I started designing and ended up with 5 new bracelets to show her. Now she had to choose......

 Love the colors in this one. I knew from her many purchases she loves aqua and earth tones.

This one has a reversible focal bead. I knew she would love this one,  I do too. 

I love the contrast of the shapes in the beads. 

This was the other one I thought she might love. She had mentioned dots on the beads.

Cherrie, These are so beautiful and just what I was imagining! I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your work & art. You have an innate sense to know automatically what I want, with very little description from me. I described the beads, the combination of the leather and metal for the bracelets and "wha - la" they turned out just exactly what I was dreaming of! I just love the way you created the bracelets.
