Bead Trends June 2012, It's here!!

My long awaited Bead Trends for June arrived today. Well it's a great day!!

Bead Trends June 2012

Each month I always enjoy carefully reading my copy and share with you some of my favorites in the current  issue. The cover this month is by Vanessa Floyd. Beautiful metalwork focal.

Kristy Abner www.kristyskreations.com has a really pretty romantic "Mermaids Dowry Necklace" on page 16-17. The beautiful creamy lamp work shell is designed by her very sweet husband Dean of Bubby & McGurk Beads. Also check out p. 21 for some amazing exotic earrings by Kristy called "Sea Sprite" wow!
Raida Disbrow www.havanabeads.etsy.com has a gorgeous necklace and earrings set perfect for wedding season.  This set on p. 44-45 "Pure Romance", features her own lamp work beads. I love Raida's style!! This months Designer Highlight is Chris White p. 47- 57. She features some amazing beadwork. I love the "Heirloom Treasure" on p. 49. The photography on this one is stunning too. Janice Everett www.jlynnjewels.com p. 59 features a beautiful focal from the lovely artist Mary Harding. Karen Vincent has Flower corsage"in the fashion favorites section p, 92-93. www.swallowtailjewellery.etsy.com This focal and the beads are stunning. Kristi Harrison is debuting in Bead Trends this month. Check out her earrings on page 97,  "Chocolate Chandelier". Beautiful Kristi and congratulations. My friend Traci Zeller www.gettagift.etsy.com on p. 103 "Summer Blues" earrings. The photographer really captures the richness of these earrings, beautiful, Traci!! Amanda Cargill Austin www.seashoreglass.etsy.com p. 106-109. Love the focal on the necklace  p. 106.  Undersea Lights is rich in mints and ocean greens, two of Amanda's favorite colors.

My necklace this month is featured on page 94-95.
This "Take Time to Laugh"  focal by my friend Erin Prais Hintz of Tesori Trovati. I design with Miss Erin's pieces on a regular basis. This one is especially timely as it seems many people are being challenged these days. We all need to take time to laugh. I wanted the colors of gold in the focal to be enriched with pearls and light. I added a gorgeous lampwork bead from Raida of Havana Beads. I love art beads and you can find many more designs by me in my shop featuring many of these artists.

Stop by my shop and see what is happening this month. I will be adding quite a few new bracelets and coordinating earrings and several new necklace designs in the next few days. I will add another post soon with some new designs here as well. Thanks for stopping in and please leave a comment. I love to hear from you. Thank you for supporting handmade!!

    1. Your welcome Raida, I was trying to fit as many as I could in and missed your lovely cheerful Summer Splash on p 64-65. so here's a shout out for that one. I love designing with your beads and excited for the ones left to be inspired by. We have had a wonderful relationship since that first bead soup partnership a long time ago. It'
      s a good thing.

  6. Miss Cherrie! What a nice surprise. A 'something good' to be sure! I will be on the lookout for that issue at my local store. I see that a lot of my favorite people are featured. I just love this necklace you made. The soft colors, the multistrands, the unexpected surprises like Raida's bead. And the sentiment is one that we could all use a bit more of in our lives. I will add this to my pin board of designs with Simple Truths. You are such a great supporter and friend! Enjoy the day. Erin

  7. Your necklace is gorgeous. I always notice your pieces in Bead Trends because I really like your style. My first published piece is also in this issue! It's the very last project with the citrine and double-sided resin pendant. The color isn't accurate though because they made the citrine look orange. But I'm thrilled to be in a publication with you.
