As seen in Bead Trends February 2012

February 2012 already? Wow we are off to a flying start to 2012.
                                Bead Trends February 2012.

We begin with an amazing cover. This necklace is by Michelle Skobel. Beautiful bead work. Cynthia Thompson is the February Designer Highlight this month and she shares some amazing wire wrap, my favorite is the focal on page 51. Wow!!

This valentine issue has beautiful designs by some of my favorite bead friends. This month Traci Zeller is celebrating with her first published designs. Page 46 "Medusa's Trance", cool name and a great cluster of pearls and glass hanging from gorgeous boro glass by our friend Amanda Austin of Sea Shore Glass. Page 40-41 "Wishes come true". I love this bracelet, the photography on this one is beautiful and the Wish wood art charm by Janice Everett of J Lynn Jewels pulls it all together. Congratulations Traci!!

Amanda has a really fresh and pretty valentines day bracelet.  "He loves me, maybe" on page 26-27. Really cute name and the cupcake is perfect, Amandas favorite. Another art wood charm by our friend Janice Everett of J Lynn Jewels. Perfect with the boro bead and pretty colors.

Janice has a really cute necklace that inspires all kinds of personal designs with her photo tiles and any thing you can imagine. Check it out on page 67.

Jess from Vintaj Brass has a really cool "Honey Bee Menagerie" necklace on page16-17. I always find inspiration from Jess. She not only works for the most awesome company, but she shares ideas that bring everything in jewelry design to life. Too many to pick, I also loved Karen Vincent's and Suzette Bentley's designs.  Pick up your copy to see more.

Key to my Heart Necklace February 2012

This design is chic, romantic and a very feminine long charm necklace.

My necklace this month "Key to my Heart"
A labor of love with lots of wire wrapped glass, pineapple quartz, pearls and brass and copper charms. The light is beautiful. This is a Vintaj Brass necklace with chains, and charms like hearts, skeleton key and keyhole charms.

The focal on this is a handcrafted mixed media heart handcrafted by Martha of Menagerie Studios. The colors are soft pale sage green, peach, lavender and amber. The hand washed silk is woven into the Vintaj chain.

The earrings Key to my heart are designed with gorgeous lamp work glass leaf by Raida of Havana Glass, pearl hearts, Czech glass and Vintaj Brass hanging from delicate copper chain.
You can find the necklace and earrings  in my shop.
