Bead Trends October 2012

Bead Trends October 2012 is chock full of beautiful jewelry.......

Begin with the cover. Gorgeous Sterling Silver Earrings, Poppy Flowers by Stacie Florer a new artist to me. After reading the instructions I say that is a lot of work but the result is beautiful.
Designer Highlight this month is Vanessa Faith a mom of five. Check out her very cool metal work on p. 49-59. Congratulations to both ladies.

Some of my friends and other artists that caught my eye this month are...............
Cathy Obbema p. 16-17 Nan's Owl necklace. Very cute and with one of our favorite ceramic artists Nan Emmett.
Helen Bowen p. 18-19 An Autumns Tale a pretty charm bracelet with lots of fall colors.
Kristin Oopold p. 30-31 Giddy Up, with a fun way to take you on a journey with her beautiful yellow Jasper.
Kristi Abner p. 80-81 Autumn Blaze, This necklace is statement piece with many textures and a beautiful clasp. P. 100-101 Breathless, a very elegant necklace with several pretty layers.
Lisa Boucher p. 94-94 Charms of the Forest, another pretty fall charm bracelet chock full of pretty wire wrapped beads. Read her story about the acorns and how she was inspired to make them. Lisa I love acorns. We pick them up every time we visit a special park, something we should do this year.
Traci Zeller, p. 106-107 Autumn Bee, I love the focal by Nan Emmett, My color scheme for sure.

Bohemian Dreams Oct 2012

My design this month is Bohemian Dreams.. p. 112-113

This necklace features several polymer components including the pod, interesting clasp and  beads by Clair Maunsell www.stillpointworks.etsy.com sent to me as part of a Bead Soup swap. I added verdigris patinaed chain by Shannon of www.missficklemedia.etsy.com, and Vintage Resin, African Copper beads, and Peruvian Opal, Serpentine, and Carnelian from my favorite bead shop www.beadsonmain.com

I love the feeling of this necklace. It has an organic bohemian feeling which I love. I also love the colors together. A fun necklace.

Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to check out the whole magazine and see these talented designers up close and personal. Please leave me a note, I always enjoy your comments.
