Simple Truths BLog Hop

Welcome to Miss Erin's Simple Truths Blog Hop.

I am so excited to participate in this blog hop. Simple Truths focals and charms from Tesori Trovati are among my very favorite art beads to design with. This is a sampling of some of the designs I have created over the past year.

"Reveal Yourself"
'You are My World"

I first met Erin spring 2011.  Miss Erin is a beautiful lady, she is  an amazing artist with so many important ways to inspire. It goes so much further than ordering a beautiful art bead to design with. The connection to the artist, her inspiration, her literary knowledge, and her kindness is part of the experience.

Always lending an ear we have become friends and it is so nice to chat occasionally and share what is happening in our crazy busy world. We have mutually encouraged each other and shared our new designs and news.

This "Make a Wish" necklace was a special gift to my friend after I saw a cute picture of her making a
wish with a dandelion.

"Nothing Gold can Stay"  Bracelet

These are a few of my message stick necklaces. I have sold a few of these and this one was in Bead Trends June 2012.

I have a special place in my studio for inspiration for Simple Truths. More are sitting pretty with possible beads waiting until the perfect opportunity comes along. I also have two gorgeous new story beads that I absolutely love. I can't wait to see how those turn out. One is all set with beautiful beads and pearls. I need some time on these special beads.

This bracelet was featured in the bracelet section of Stringing Spring 2012.

Dancing Starfish
I love the beach. I have lived in Oregon and California most of my life and memories of family time at the beach is part of who I am. We lived on the coast of Oregon and CA for eight years and look forward to every opportunity to walk on the beach and feel the power and peace of the ocean.  I love to design beach inspired jewelry and you can find all sorts of ocean inspiration in my shop.

o btime this hop starts.
New beach designs just listed and more coming soon.....................

Please check out the August issue of Bead Trends to see my 3 piece necklace, bracelet and earrings set featuring another beach design Simple Truths focal. I love the way that set turned out, it features beads and components from several of my favorite artists as well.

Each month I write on this blog sharing the current Bead Trends. I always share some of my favorites from the issue and also show off my published design.  Be sure to check back. Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment I would love to hear from you.

I'm excited to see what everyone else shares so I off to hop.

  1. Hi Cherrie, I love what you create with Erin's Simple Truths! And my kids bought me your Lavender Rain necklace for Mother's Day (along with a couple of other things from your store!). It's one of my favourite necklaces!

    1. Thanks Alice, I love that part of finding colors and textures. I have a large stash to work with and sometimes I discover something I forgot about and there it is the perfect bead. I love telling stories with my work and that is a lovely complement since Miss Erin is all about that. Maybe that is why this line is one of my favorites.

  7. You make amazing designs, my friend. I knew that I wanted to share my pendants and charms with the world, but nothing prepared me for the joy I felt when I started to see others using them for the first time! You have been such a strong supporter of my work, and I am truly grateful. I am deeply touched by your words. Thank you. I am so glad that you shared all the wonderful things you have done with these Simple Truths! Your light just shines! Enjoy the day. Erin

  13. You really do a fabulous job of working with Erin's pendants and charms. Each and every one of your pieces in this post had me staring in awe at how well you combined the components. . .like a cake mix with very specific ingredients. These pieces are all spectacular!

    1. Thanks Hope, I appreciate that. I have never heard it put that way. I will say the beads talk to me. My husband thinks that sounds a little weird but it is a blessing and a sometimes surprising as I have no idea what will come of a design until I lay it out. I love it so that is certainly part of my blessing.
