Welcome to the "The Colors of Spring"
Blog Hop March 2012
I am happy to be included in this fun blog hop. Thanks to our hostess Sally Russick for creating these beads and the idea. I forgot to photograph the beads when I got them.My bead selection was the color sweet lilac and Sally sent me this pink lilac lentil along with 2 tan and 2 lime colored beads. The theme is spring so I got busy creating these pieces including a combination of artists which is how I love to design.
The focal includes the lentil and a handcrafted ART wood tile which is a collaboration of my husband Michael, photographer at WaterSouls Studios and Janice of J Lynn Jewels created the tile for me. This sweet photo, pink hydrangeas, how perfect for spring. I added Czech glass flower beads and fresh water pearls to complete the focal. Some pink adventurine.
An antiqued copper and crystal toggle, Vintaj Brass chain and hand dyed silk ribbon to complete the design.
One each of the green and tan beads are featured in this bracelet.
I added 2 more ceramic beads by Gaea, Czech glass and brass and another Art Tile by J Lynn Jewels, this time with daisy's.
The wire wrapped rectangle and hammered S hook complete the clasp.
Then last night I felt guilty because I still had another green and tan bead left. 3 grandkids spending the night, two on the computer challenging themselves on this game about the human body, and the 2 year old playing with little cups of beads and the bust forms calling them Grama, grampa, taytay and me. This is all in my studio where if you step wrong you could fall into beads or packing or something. I am trying to whip up one more design. This is what came of all that controlled activity.
I had this darling owl from Nan at Spirited Earth and some ceramics from Gaea, some Czech glass, some chain from a necklace I just took apart. Then it needed something a little lighter for spring and I wire wrapped some pretty little Peridot for the dangles which came from the inspiration after reading my new Everyday Gemstone Magazine while the girls took a bath. I'm thinking, I need to pull out more stone, I have boxes of it all organized and waiting to be included in my designs.
Everything is listed in my shop for sale. This was fun!!
Please join me hopping to see what the other artists created with their beads.
