My very first published cover Bead Trends November 2011 |
Fierencia- This design is fairly simple with some interesting components. I altered this beautiful large brass leaf from Vintaj Brass in a faux enamel process. I love the transformation, it really special for this focal. The wire wrapped borosilicate glass bead with amazing swirls of color, a Czech glass bead handcrafted clasp and sari silk bring the colors together in this perfect autumn design.

This Czech glass bead is one of my favorites. It looks like a fresh slice of blood orange. |

This issue is very exciting to me as this was a personal goal and really more of a dream to someday be published with a cover. My first published necklace was in Bead Trends in March of this year and I have been blessed to be in every issue consecutively. In the July issue I was chosen to be the Designer Highlight and even the birthstone page that month.
In October Amanda's bracelet "Lemoncholy" graced the Bead Trends cover and this month my friend Kristy Abner is the Designer Highlight. Many of my friends and several I don't know have gorgeous autumn designs in this issue.
Kristi's spread is really pretty, my favorite is "Ancient Treasure" with a clever mismatched earring pair. Amanda's "The Bumble" is very cool with her altered metal and beautiful colored teardrop beads and honey drop dangles. Janice's "Golden Dreams" is stunning. Shannon's "Wise" is gorgeous and that pumpkin they shot it with really makes her piece come alive. Oh my, there are so many more in this issue. If I were you and I did not have a copy of November I would want to run out and find it. The photography is especially beautiful this month. It is a magazine you will want to keep.
Needless to say this has been thrilling for me and my family. I have made some amazing friends who have encouraged me and I am so excited each month to share the pages with their beautiful designs.
I want to thank the Bead Trends staff and especially Tatia, for making it such a delight to get our work published. We all work very hard to send you our best designs. Your magazine is gorgeous and your support is amazing and appreciated.
